For some of you old folk like me out there, The Last Remnant was a game exclusive to XBOX 360 released in November of 2008, then later on PC in March 2009. I never played it. The reviews were mixed to positive, I wanted to try it out. But there was a problem with that… I didn’t have an XBOX, and I was too broke to get a PC that was worth a damn at the time. I had considered hitting it up recently, it’s been on Steam for quite some time. But then, a week or so ago, The Last Remnant was gone! Then the announcement came. Square Enix is remastering The Last Remnant, with an updated graphics engine.
For those that haven’t heard of it or not an older person like myself, The Last Remnant is a tactical turn-based RPG. The game is set in a fantasy setting where war is the central theme. You command various units by groups, along with your main characters to do glorious battle. The Last Remnant is slated to be released December 6, 2018, in Japan. A western release date is coming, but no date has been revealed yet. It will be released as a digital download on the PlayStation Store.
