FF6 Magic List

The magic system in Final Fantasy VI is very different to most the other Final Fantasy games. The only games that is similar is Final Fantasy VII because in neither games are the characters are bound by a particular class stopping them from learning any of the magic abilities. You will find though that the further you get in to the game, the more that your magical skills will over shine your physical skills. You learn magic skills by equipping Espers. The amount of time it takes to learn a magic skill depends on the learn rate of the magical ability.

Cure 2 25 Restores moderate amount of HP to one or all allies.
Cure 3 40 Restores large amount of HP to one or all allies.
Life 30 Revives one ally from KO with a small amount of HP.
Life 2 60 Revives one ally from KO with maximum HP.
Life 3 50 Automatically revives one ally from KO.
Antidote 03 Cures Poison and Seizure status effects.
Remedy 15 Cures all negative status effects.
Regen 10 Gradually restores HP of one ally.
Fire 04 Deals weak fire-elemental damage on one or all targets.
Ice 05 Deals weak ice-elemental damage on one or all targets.
Bolt 06 Deals weak lightning-elemental damage on one or all targets.
Fire 2 20 Deals moderate fire-elemental damage on one or all targets.
Ice 2 21 Deals moderate ice-elemental damage on one or all targets.
Bolt 2 22 Deals moderate lightning-elemental damage on one or all targets.
Fire 3 51 Deals massive fire-elemental damage on one or all targets.
Ice 3 52 Deals massive ice-elemental damage on one or all targets.
Bolt 3 53 Deals massive lightning-elemental damage on one or all targets.
Poison 03 Deals poison-based damage on one target.
Bio 26 Deals poison-based damage on one or all targets.
Drain 15 Caster absorbs target’s HP.
Break 25 Inflicts petrify status effect on one target.
Doom 35 Causes instant KO one one target.
Pearl 40 Deals holy-elemental damage on one target.
Flare 45 Deals massive non-elemental damage on one target.
Demi 33 Damages one target by 1/2 of total HP.
Quarter 48 Damages all targets by 3/4 of total HP.
X-Zone 53 Causes instant KO on all targets.
Meteor 62 Deals massive non-elemental damage on all targets.
Ultima 80 Deals massive non-elemental damage on all targets.
Quake 62 Deals earth-elemental damage on all enemies and allies.
W Wind 75 Deals wind-elemental damage on all enemies and allies.
Merton 85 Deals fire and wind elemental damage on all enemies and allies.
Scan 03 View target’s total HP, MP and weakness.
Slow 05 Slows down ATB of one target.
Haste 10 Speeds up ATB of one ally.
Stop 10 Freezes ATB of one target.
Slow 2 26 Slows down ATB of all targets.
Haste 2 38 Speeds up ATB of all allies.
Rasp 12 Depletes target’s MP.
Mute 08 Prevents one target from using magics.
Safe 12 Redueces damage received from physical attacks.
Sleep 05 Puts one target to sleep.
Muddle 08 Inflicts confuse on one target.
Berserk 16 Causes target to only use physical attacks.
Float 17 Gets one ally’s feet off the ground.
Imp 10 Turns target into imp. Also cures imp status.
Reflect 22 Causes magics to be reflected back to the opposing party.
Shell 15 Reduces damage received from magic attacks.
Vanish 18 Causes target to become invisible.
Osmose 01 Caster absorbs targets MP.
Warp 20 Used to escape from battle, or warp out of dungeons.
Quick 99 Target receives two consecutive turns.
Dispel 25 Removes all positive status effects.
